Amrita TV Super Star Junior-2 Live Grand Finale on April
MUMBAI: With the hour of reckoning barely a day away, the finalists of Amrita TV?s ?Super Star Junior ? 2? are polishing up their musical notes for the Grand Finale that will take place on Saturday evening, April 11th in Trivandrum and telecast live globally.
The Final Three - Anwar, Shahafaz Ibi and Parvathy Jayan stretched their vocal talents to the limit, to outsing their competitors in 31 rounds that extended over eight months and 146 episodes.
Super Star Junior was the very first reality show for children in Malayalam ; its lineal descendent ?Super Star Junior -2?, telecast Mon-Thu at 8 pm, is designed to discover the best all-round singing star in the 10-15 age group.
Launched during Onam in August 2008 and drawing to a close just before Vishu, the Keralite harvest festival, the show tested its 15 contestants with fast numbers, slow melodies, semi-classicals and devotional songs and in other languages as well with rounds such as R.D.Burman Hits, A.R. Rehman Hits, Ilayaraja Hits etc.
With eliminations in 12 levels, the Final Three stood out as the pick of the crop with the perfection of their modulation, the elan of their performance and charisma of their persona.
During the Grand Finale, that will be telecast live from 6 pm on April 11, their vocal range and skill of rendition will be on display once again for the benefit of the world-wide audience to make the final judgement, that will be decided solely on the strenght of the SMS votes.
The Finale will consist of 3 rounds Semi-classical, Performance and Medley rounds with Cine star Suresh Gopi coming in as the Chief Guest.
To amplify the thrill of the keen contest, the rounds will be interspersed by melodious songs of playback singers Benny Dayal and Malgudi Shuba with performances by budding starlet Shamna Kasim and globe trotting pianist Stephen Devassy.
As the Finalists fine tune their vocals for the final assault on the title, the world wide viewers can be assured of an evening of aural ecstasy.
