    MUMBAI: It‘s always fun to witness the bride and groom-to-be dance on their own sangeet ceremony, complete with all the jhatkas and matkas of bollywood. But really, which sangeet could possibly have the the groom-to-be set the stage on fire dressed in the garb of the legend Elvis Presley himself... and dancing to his desi version of ‘Emosional Atyachar‘!!! Well, that?s Ranbir for you all!!

    With the couple finally tying the knot (on screen!) in the 1st week of April, seems its becoming hopelessly difficult for Ranbir to follow a code of conduct. The lad seems to be experiencing a gamut of embarrassing emotions! To elaborate, soon after the ring ceremony, Ranbir, head over heels in love with his eternally yours, Rano ... pulls her aside and begs for a peck on the cheek. Rano, will all her coyness intact, softly slaps her dupatta end on Ranbir‘s face and runs back to the hall, expecting Ranbir to follow.... And so, he does... and how!

    MUMBAI: Not for the easily offended the Bajaate Raho Awards come with a pre-requisite, a Sense of Humour! While there are many awards that felicitate excellence, The Bingo! Bajaate Raho Awards are the awards with a difference that celebrate the audiences? right to ?BAJAAO?.

    The public has cast their votes and the ?winners? have been declared at the one and only awards with-a-twist that celebrate ?mediocrity? in categories like Bollywood, Music, Cricket, Television & City Special Awards!

    After weeks of voting across the three cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, the most anticipated (and of course dreaded!) awards of the year, felicitated all the ?winners? at Chitrakoot Ground, Mumbai.

    And there was a lot more to offer than just naach-gaana... The awards, hosted by ace comedian Sunil Grover of ?Kaun Banega Champu? and ?Kya Aap Paanchvi Fail Champu Hai?? fame had Dr. Hoezay & Red FM RJs Malishka, Mantra, Nitin, Sachin & Rohini doing what they do best ? entertaining and BAJAAOING!!! Amongst hilarious acts and some hard core bajaaoing adding the glamour quotient were some sensuous and bold performances by Kangana Ranaut, ravishing item girl Sambhavna Seth, an enthralling performance by Anand Raj Anand, Mahi Gill of Dev D fame, Masakali singer Mohit Chauhan and the first female Indian Idol Sourabhee!

    Commenting on the concept of the awards, Red FM, COO, Abraham Thomas, said, ?Truly the people?s voice has been heard, Red FM the Station for Expression for the masses believes in always reflecting the voice of the people through all its initiatives and the Bajaate Raho Awards does that in good effect.?

    He further added, ?The awards and the nominations are supposed to be taken lightly and clearly the audiences? today have a sense of humor to take it in the right spirit. Therefore while Red FM itself plays hit songs like ?Tha Tha Karke? or ?Aksa beach?, the listeners who on one hand dance on these hit songs also find the lyrics funny! The Bajaate Raho Awards reflect this duality/?

    MUMBAI: E- 24 the entertainment channel owned and operated by B.A.G. Glamour Ltd. (A subsidiary of B.A.G. Films & Media Ltd.) under the umbrella of Broadcast 24 completed one year on March 27, 2009. Pitched as Bollywood‘s first news channel, E 24 managed to attract audiences of various age groups and succeeded in creating a new genre in television entertainment.

    The channel after a year of coming alive on television is going strong with 24 hours Bollywood news, views, reviews, chats, gossips and latest chartbusters. The channel also introduced the concept of Karaoke on television for its audience.

    "We celebrate our efforts that have gone into E 24 in the past year. I am confident the E 24 team will achieve many more milestones in the second year of the channel‘s run"

    E 24 is available on all DTH platforms namely Tata Sky, Dish TV DD Direct.

  • MyIdea.co.in crosses 1,00,000 votes in less than a month

    MUMBAI: Sometimes the web can take over where TV lets off - and then go way past expectations.

    One example is the online platform created by Idea Cellular to support its theme campaign "What an Idea, Sirji" starring Abhishek Bachchan. The commercials may have had a short run on TV. But the campaign online, conceptualised by Idea Cellular‘s media and digital agencies - Lintas Media Group and Pinstorm - has found legs and has quickly become now among the biggest online movements in India.

    MyIdea.co.in was created as a platform to allow the public to present its ideas to change India and then to garner support and votes for their ideas. Within 3 weeks, the usage of the site has sky-rocketed, with over 1,300 ideas submitted by the public, over 2,75,000 views of these ideas - and over 1,00,000 votes on these ideas by the public.

    Some of the ideas and the voting pattern so far include: Criminals shouldn‘t stand for elections, with over 11,000 voting for and 3,000 voting against; Save the girl child by paying the parents a stipend with about 4,000 votes for and about 100 votes against and even Instead of paying IPL players crores, Ambani & Mallya should save their employees‘ jobs with over 3,000 votes for and about 500 against.

    Speaking about the platform, Pradeep Shrivastava, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular said, "The platform behind MyIdea - that of collective decision-making is a sound one and we are really pleased with how the online platform has taken off, giving Indians a choice in suggesting ideas for a better tomorrow, and in gathering support for their ideas."
