  • Switch to 'No Full Stops' to learn 'Yoga' with its diverse forms, this Saturday only on TIMES NOW, at 7:30 pm

Submitted by ITV Production on Aug 01

MUMBAI: Yoga, meaning union in Sanskrit, is a composite of ancient spiritual practices, and also a school of spiritual thought that originated in India. It remains a vibrant living tradition and is seen as a means to enlightenment. But how many of us really understand the benefits of it? Yoga is ‘therapeutic‘.

In today‘s world, we, human beings are increasingly becoming dependent on machines, to help us in our daily household chores and also at workplaces. This tends to make us lazy. People work for hours in office seated tightly on to their chairs, leading to total absence of any physical movement. Smoking, eating at odd hours, stress and other factors also lead to early degeneration of the human body. People are inflicted with ailments of the heart, liver and spine, quite early in their lives.

‘Yoga‘ comes to the picture, at this juncture. People hardly have time to work out in gyms. In contrast practice yoga at your leisure and in the comfort of your home. It not only relaxes you, but keeps you fresh, unwinds you and makes you feel energetic throughout the day.

‘No Full Stops‘ takes you through a different world of Yoga with its different forms and benefits.Yoga interlinks mind and body and given the right tools, it can find harmony and heal in itself. No Full Stops‘ takes a sneak peek at Power Yoga, artistic yoga, couple yoga and facial yoga.Power Yoga does not follow a set series of poses. In the west, it‘s described as fitness based approach to vinasa style yoga. Artistic Yoga is a completely new genre of yoga exercising, developed by Himalayan master Bharat Thakur. It is a flow of asanas (yoga positions) combined with pranayama (breathing techniques) that energizes the body and quietens the mind. The couple Yoga celebrates the relationship with yoga therapy, little massage and a lot of heart and soul communication. Isn‘t it romantic? Facial yoga is a series of toning exercises, for the muscles of your face, which claims to erase wrinkles.

So why wait? Tune into TIMES NOW this Saturday and have a spiritual, healing and a relaxing weekend in midst of a stress stricken environment and enhance your life for the better!
