  • Star Plus: Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar's elimination format revised

Submitted by ITV Production on Apr 29

MUMBAI: Beginning Friday, May 2, the viewers of STAR Plus‘ Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar will witness a format change with not one but two contestants being eliminated form the show every Friday. In the wake of Champion Aishwarya Nigam‘s ouster from the show despite being the top performer of the series, the jury (Vishal-Shekhar and Farah Khan) decided to revise the format and start eliminating the weakest performer, i.e. the lowest scorer of the episode, from the Challengers‘ squad every Friday.

So far on the show, it was observed that since only the Champions qualified for eliminations, the Challengers were giving average performances each time with no risk of elimination for them. The jury took the consensus of all the Champion and Challenger contestants and decided to bring about this change in the interest of the show.

Most of the contestants of Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar have gladly consented to the change in format, including weak performers, Amit Sana and Ravindra Ravi despite knowing that they could be the most likely ones to be eliminated next.

With the new format being introduced this weak, gear up to watch the contestants give their best performances in Clinic All Clear Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar, Friday, May 2, 2008 at 10 pm only on Star Plus.

  • Another elimination looms large on the Champions in Clinic All Clear Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar Friday, April 25, 10 pm only on Star Plus

Submitted by ITV Production on Apr 25

MUMBAI: The Fearsome Friday is back. Rooprekha Banerjee, Debojeet Saha and Aishwarya Nigam are the bottom three performers of Clinic All Clear Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar and find themselves faced with elimination this week.  Expecting her ouster from the show, Prajakta Shukre is surprised and heaves a sigh of relief on hearing that she is not in the bottom three.

The episode is packed with performances by the Challengers while the Champions along with the jury give their feedback on their performances.

Stirring up a debate on the format of the show, Himani Kapoor leaves everyone speechless with her near perfect rendition of the song Ishq Kabhi Kariyo Na. Intending to give her high marks for her performance, the judges are on the verge of giving her low scores so that she continues to remain a Challenger and does not risk being eliminated by moving over to the Champions side.

Displaying remarkable improvement in his singing and remembering the lyrics of his song is Amit Sana who takes centre stage and sings the very romantic Sathiya Sathiya leaving the judges very impressed.

Attempting a different genre of singing, Ravinder Ravi chooses a non Punjabi song, Badan pe sitare lapete huye and receives mixed reactions for his performance.

Vineet closes the episode with Dil ka hai jo haal kya kahein from the hugely popular Main Hoon Na. Distracted and uncomfortable by the props used in the song, Vineet forgets the lyrics of the song but catches on soon and goes on to give a Champion performance.

To watch which Champion is striped of his Star Champion Badge tune in to Clinic All Clear Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar, Friday, April 25, 2008 at 10 pm only on Star Plus.
