CNN-News18 maintains its market share of 42.7% in the English news genre

News18 brands have enjoyed strong traction across YouTube and social media.

Mumbai: CNN-News18 maintained its lead in the English news segment this week, remaining 133 per cent ahead of Times Now and 83 per cent ahead of Republic TV.

CNN-News18 outperformed news channels such as Republic TV, Times Now, Mirror Now, and India Today TV, according to the most recent BARC data, with a market share of 42.7 per cent (Barc, market share per cent 24 hrs, TG: 2+, India, Wk 03'23, All days).

According to the most recent BARC data, Republic TV has a market share of 23.4 per cent, while Times Now has a market share of 18.3 per cent, Mirror Now has a market share of 11.1 per cent, and India Today TV has a market share of 4.4 per cent.

CNN-News18 also maintained its prime-time dominance.

According to the Barc ratings (market share per cent 1800-2300 hrs, TG: 2+, India, Wk 03'23, All days), CNN-News18 is 123 per cent ahead of Times Now, which has a 39.1 per cent market share, followed by Republic TV and Times Now, which have a 26.8 per cent and 17.5 per cent market share, respectively.

CNN-News18 has invested heavily in both technology and editorial resources to ensure that its content and presentation remain distinct and far ahead of the competition.

News18 brands have gained significant traction on YouTube and social media platforms, with views steadily increasing.
