Disney in talks with Vimanika to foray into Indian mythology

MUMBAI: Disney is in talks with India-based Vimanika Comics to bring Hindu mythological superheroes to films

and television.

According to reports, the bipartite discussion is centered on giving comic superhero Karna a life on screens. Karna is the Hindu mythological character from Mahabharata who was the son of Kunti and sun-god Surya.

The reports state that Vimanika is planning to launch graphic versions of Dashaavatar, Legend of Karna, Lord Shiva and Lord Garuda and is also looking at unveiling online and mobile games based on the comic characters.
