    Mumbai: Did you realize that for years men never had their own televised version of the Miss India or Miss World or Miss Universe pageants? Men had bodybuilding competition, but it just is not the same. Hold your breath ladies Sexiest Bachelor in America; the only male pageant show is all set to air on BIG CBS LOVE. For the first time, all the hot and happening bachelors will be seen competing with each other for the title ?Sexiest Bachelor in America?. The show will be aired on Saturday, April 28 at 9pm.

    Get ready to witness 51 men from different parts of United States struggle to win the title and cash and prizes worth $100,000. They will be put through the same paces which women have been put through for years, including eveningwear and swimsuit and also go through a talent competition and a question-and-answer session. They shall be judged on many other aspects too including their personality, style, attitude, fitness etc.

    The pageant opens with the men merely introducing themselves by state and occupation in their self-selected outfits .Competition ranged between an investment banker, a police officer, a martial artist, a teacher, a race car driver, a criminal defense attorney and of course, enough male models.

    The show is hosted by ravishing Caroline Rhea, one of the stars of ?Sabrina? -- the sexiest witch on television. And joining her for some on-the-scene commentary, an anchor and reporter for Fox Sports Net and co-host of Sports Geniuses ?she?s the all-around sports goddess ? Lisa Guerrero. The panel of judges are some soap star Kristian Alfonso, Miss USA 1997 Brook Lee, and Model Roshumba Williams.

    According to one of the contestants speaking about the pageant he said: "they told us we would be making history!" Which they did, with the first ever televised swimsuit competition for men. And yet the most remarkable fact of this male beauty pageant was the lack of a raised eyebrow, let alone any controversy.

    MUMBAI: Reliance Home Video & Games has released the Home Video and Blu-Ray discs of Clint Eastwood?s Leonardo DiCaprio-starrer J. Edgar.

    The film is the story of J. Edgar Hoover, who as the face of law enforcement in America was feared and admired, reviled and revered for almost 50 years. As seen through the eyes of Hoover himself, J. Edgar explores the personal and public life and relationships of a man who could distort the truth as easily as he upheld it during a life devoted to his own idea of justice, often swayed by the darker side of power.

    During his lifetime, J. Edgar Hoover would rise to be the most powerful man in America. As head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for nearly 50 years, he would stop at nothing to protect his country. Through eight presidents and three wars, Hoover waged battle against threats both real and perceived, often bending the rules to keep his countrymen safe. His methods were at once ruthless and heroic, with the admiration of the world his most coveted, if ever elusive, prize.

Clyde Tolson; Josh Lucas as the legendary aviator Charles Lindbergh, whose son?s kidnapping changes the public profile of the FBI and Judi Dench as Hoover?s over-protective mother Annie Hoover.

  • ASCI and Goafest 2012 Announce winners of the ?ASCI Mobile Movie Challenge? during the Creative Abbys

    Mumbai: The Advertising Standard Council of India (ASCI) today announced the winners of the ?ASCI Mobile Movie Challenge? during the closing event of Goafest 2012, the Creative Abbys. The competition conducted to promote responsible creativity, and to encourage self regulation in Advertising, under the theme of ?Creativity with a conscience? garnered huge public support during the 3 day ad-fest.

    The winning entries came from team Leo Burnett consisting of Nikhil Pai, Abhineet Agarwal & Almas Ahmed and team O&M consisting of Parth Gadhiya, Harshad Salian, Aishik Sengupta . All the six winners received an iPad sponsored by media house, Rajasthan Patrika. The competition received a total of 120 registered entries through 41 mobile movies, from across the country. Of all the movies registered, 8 were shortlisted by a jury of eminent ad-makers and 2 were chosen as winners.

    As per the contest, teams of 3 young professionals, under the age of 30 years, were asked to create a short film (between 30 and 60 seconds), using their mobile handsets. Each team was assigned a mentor film maker who guided the team members on the nuances of film making. The teams were asked to create the art forms on one of the four briefs provided by ASCI which were based on the four tenets of ASCI?s code of self regulation:

    1. Honesty & truthfulness in advertising
    2. Decency in advertising as per generally accepted societal norms
    3. Safety & avoiding exploitation of vulnerable sections of society, especially children
    4. Fairness in competition

    According to, Mr. Subhash Kamath, ASCI Board Member, ?Through this competition, we wanted to inspire young professionals to abide by the guidelines set by ASCI and implement the same in their work. We?re extremely happy with the kind of response we?ve received and thankful for all the support. Next year, we hope to make this initiative larger and stronger by reaching out to many more media, advertising professionals.?

    The films were showcased at Goafest 2012 and uploaded on youtube.com and select online portals, so as to inspire professionals to understand the importance of self-regulation in advertising. The entries will be judged by a jury of top creative directors and film makes of the industry.
