  • '39th American Music Awards' exclusively on Vh1

    MUMBAI: The ‘39th American Music Awards‘ is back and this time it promises to get bigger and better as it is set to enthral the audiences with its impressive line-up of performances. The glitterati, glamour and performances of the awards night will be witnessed on Vh1 India, as it premiers exclusively live on 21st of November, 2011 at 6:30 am IST LIVE & exclusive on Vh1, with a primetime repeat at 9pm.

    The American Music Awards celebrates the greatest talents of contemporary music by honouring the biggest names today ranging from powerful pop divas to sensational R&B and Rock acts, rewarding exceptional artists for their abilities to inspire and excite audiences all over the world. Fans across the world have voted for their favourite artists to make them the winners. The artists nominated this year include huge names like Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Chris Brown, Jason Aldean, Kanye West, LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and Pitbull. The special and the biggest award of the American Music Awards - 2011 Artist of the Year nominees include Adele, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne and Taylor Swift.

    With the ‘39th American Music Awards‘, Vh1 promises to showcase to Indian audiences a spectacular celebration of music! The awards night will see Nicki Minaj and David Guetta opening the mega event. Adding to all the action and music will be host of artist and celebrities including pop singer Lance Bass, American Internet comedian Michael Buckley, English R&B singer and rapper Estelle, American actress Sarah Hyland, American actor, singer and musician Mitchel Musso and many more who will give the sashaying artists some company on the Red Carpet. The Awards Night will feature performances from party starters LMFAO, Chris Brown and Marc Anthony. The three stars will join a previously announced group of performers that includes Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull and Maroon 5. The performance line-up looks impressive and is sure to get the audiences grooving.

  • Laughter Da Master Grand Finale Night

    MUMBAI: Hilarity and mirth knew no bounds as PTC Punjabi organized and telecast the Grand Finale of its Talent Hunt Shoe "Laughter Da Master" on November 13 at Khalsa College in Amritsar. The Grand Finale event was telecast LIVE from 7 pm onwards on PTC Punjabi.

    Judges of the Grand Finale were Navjot Singh Siddhu, Rajiee M Shinde( COO - PTC Network), Rajiv Thakur, Jaswinder Bhalla and Savita Bhatti. The Mega event saw some sizzling performances by popular Punjabi singers Diljit Dosanjh, Jassi Sidhu, Lakhwinder Wadali, Honey Singh and Roshan Prince. The event was emceed by renowned Punjabi Anchor Satinder Satti and Comedian Manish Paul.

    Umang Sharma, a boy next door from humble belongings, hailing from Jalandhar has been awarded the honour of Laughter Da Master Season 1.A Brand new car and a Cash prize of Rs 5 Lakh was awarded to the contest winner by the channel.

    According to Rajiee M Shinde, COO- PTC Punjabi, PTC News and PTC Chak De, "Starting with an extensive and well-promoted Audition exercise in various cities of Punjab, scores of contestants were screened for their comic timing and screen/stage confidence on the basis of their performance in challenging stand up acts. Post the Mega Auditions in Chandigarh, a total of 36 contestants were selected for Studio Episodes. The same were telecast on PTC Punjabi from August to November. The contestants were groomed at each stage of the process and the entire process of Laughter Da Master was well-supported by a Script Team specially called in to ensure desirable content quality. The contestants got eliminated in various stages, leaving a fine select of only five contestants to compete in the Grand Finale Event".
