  • Discovery Channel presents revealed: the Golden Temple

    New Delhi: Discovery Channel, India‘s No 1 non-fiction entertainment channel, announced the launch of its special programme - REVEALED: THE GOLDEN TEMPLE. The special programme will bring an on-going story of unflinching faith, devotion, peace and communal harmony as told by various devotees, visitors and temple priests.

    A one hour special REVEALED: THE GOLDEN TEMPLE will premiere on Discovery Channel on Nov 9 and Nov 10, 2011 at 8 pm.

    The hour long high-definition television program gives viewers a definitive account of how the holy shrine, a symbol of tranquility, copes with a never ending stream of devotees in an incident free and well co-ordinated functioning of daily rituals using various celebrations as the backdrop.

  • Start Up Showdown at 'PuneConnect 2011'

    MUMBAI: Starting Up on ET NOW features ‘Startup Showdown‘, a special event where 4 of Pune‘s most innovative product start-ups will make a pitch to a special panel of judges in front of an audience of over 200 people.

    Each pitch will be followed by a rebuttal and will be judged on parameters that evaluate the quality of the entrepreneurs, the product, the business model and its propensity to scale. These parameters will be taken into account before the judges announce their scores to the audience. The winning startup will gain entry into ET NOW‘s ‘Super Angels‘, a one of a kind series where a startup will gain an opportunity to raise funding on live television.

    The Startup Showdown is a part of ‘PuneConnect 2011‘; an initiative led by Software Exporters Association of Pune (SEAP), supported by TiE, Pune Open Coffee Club (POCC) and PuneTech, where the start-up community was given a platform to showcase their software products / applications and get the much need advice and mentoring from mid and large companies.

    SEAP, POCC and PuneTech invited startup companies to submit their software ideas and business plans in a prescribed format and shortlisted 12 startups .The shortlisted companies were AdMogul, ApplyEzee, BizPorto, CoTrakr, D?j? vu 3D, DroidCloud, InnovizeTech, Kpoint, Reliscore, Vaultize, World Without Me and intouchid.

  • Cinemax hosts special screening of Ra.One in 7 different cities

    Mumbai: Cinemax, one of India?s leading multiplex chains, today hosted a charity screening of the movie Ra.One (3D) for 100 underprivileged NGO children from across the city, in association with the NGO ?Don Bosco Balprafulta?. The purpose of this initiative was to ensure a special experience for the children from various urban slums that otherwise will not get a chance to celebrate Children?s Day.

    The special screening was simultaneously conducted across 7 different properties including - Malad, Baroda, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangaluru, Cochin, Guwahati. In addition to this, Cinemax Entertainment Ltd is also helping create awareness about about Child Rights and Child Labour by putting up posters and banners and there will be a screening of a short 15 second film in 111 screens across India about Child Rights, which will be played before the start of every movie.
