Hyderabad: What a star studded night it was! For the first time ever Zee Telugu hosted the ?Zee Telugu Kutumbam Awards 2011? to felicitate its most loved TV characters.

The spectacular event happened on Oct 18, 2011 and was a grand success. There were a lot of known star faces around from the Telugu Entertainment industry; stalwarts like K Raghavendra Rao (Cine Director), Dasari Narayana Rao (Cine Director & Producer), A Kodanda Rami Reddy (Cine Director), Boyapati Srinivas (Cine Director), V Sagar (President, Telugu Film Director?s Association), Raja Vannem Reddy (Cine director), Manchu Lakshmi, Sai Kumar etc. besides artists from all Zee Telugu properties were seen at the event.

The function was buzzing with excitement and one could see the famous artists of Zee Telugu everywhere. Apart for giving the event the glamour quotient the Zee Telugu artists also entertained everyone with various dance performances, performances by lead characters of all soaps ? Satya-Madhav (Chinna Kodalu), Savitri (Pasupu Kumkuma), Kalpana-Krishna-Jwala (Muddu Bidda), Jagadiswari (Kalavari Kodallu), Keerti-Radha-Vamsi (Radha Kalyanam) and Archana-Srikar (Kanya Danam) etc. were liked a lot. Moreover winners from the all time favorite Aata (all 5 seasons) also gave a sizzling performance.

The audience was at all time energetic and excited high with a hope that their favorite characters win the award. The 23 category awards and 13 Special Jury Awards were declared after collating SMS voting, votes from website and jury panel.

MUMBAI: Zee News, India?s premier 24-hour Hindi news channel, has announced the winners of 2nd ?Swasth Bharat Samman?.

The award is a first-of-its-kind initiative to recognise and honour the best medical specialists in India. The winners were felicitated by Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad at a gala ceremony held recently in Delhi. The awards were presented in the presence of leading lights of the Indian healthcare community, leaders and representatives of private and government organisations, as well as policy makers and important luminaries from sectors affiliated to the industry.

Mumbai: On the136th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the Sardar Patel Trust, Karamsad, Gujarat, will pay tribute to the Iron Man of India with a special advertisement commemorating him. The new campaign encapsulates the spirit that marked every action of Sardar.

The headline of the ad includes a quote from the exclusive cover story by The Time Magazine (Published in Jan 1947) on Sardar Vallabhai Patel, six months before India got its independence. When the Sardar Patel Trust, Karamsad approached the Information and Broadcast Ministry, they were impressed by the ad and decided to release it. The ad will appear on 31 October in all leading newspapers nationwide. The black and white ad was especially created and conceptualized for the Trust by Triton Advertising, Mumbai.

The Sardar Patel Trust, Karamsad, was established in 1975 to perpetuate the memory of Sardar Patel and inspire the younger generation to follow his ideals. The Memorial dedicated to both brothers - Vithalbhai and Vallabhbhai, is located in Karamsad, Sardar Patel‘s native place. The Memorial is spread over seven acres of land, has a huge lawn, a joggers‘ park, an extensive library, auditorium, seminar rooms and a collection of historic photographs, articles, speeches of sardar etc.

PUNE: The most awaited musical extravaganza of the Marathi Television industry has finally concluded with a nail biting, nerve - racking finish. The first Forbes India Leadership Awards were given out at a scintillating event attended by the cr?me de la cr?me of corporate India in Mumbai today. Union Minister for Corporate Affairs Veerappa Moily presented trophies and commendations to ten winners from across India‘s entrepreneurial firmament.

Network18 group chairman Raghav Bahl hosted an in-depth panel discussion on ‘Building an Enterprise/ Transforming an Industry,‘ where five award winners shared their perspective on what it took to transform their businesses. Actor Shah Rukh Khan, who upped the glamour quotient in the room, was presented a plaque by chairman of Forbes Digital, Tim Forbes for being one of India‘s finest entertainers.
