  • Star Gold presents Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

    Mumbai: Less than a month after refreshing its brand with the promise to line up blockbuster movies for its viewers, Star Gold is living up to its word by screening the cult roadtrip film - Zindagi Na Milega Dobara.

    The 22nd October, 2011 telecast at 9 pm reiterates Star Gold?s new signature ?Karo dil ki? or do as you please. The small screen debut of this ?badi picture? will allow viewers to follow their hearts and catch a movie when they please and where they please - right in their living rooms with their families!

    The blockbuster premiere is also part of Star?s endeavour to create new benchmarks in entertainment, Singham being the first one that captured the essence of Bollywood at home.

    The movie itself, which continues to run successfully at the box office, follows the refreshing and adventurous journey of three youths.

    Directed by noted filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, ?Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara? is a quintessential escapade set against Spain?s breathtaking landscapes. The film is a perfect blend of just every emotion, with thrice the fun, thrice the magic, and thrice the laughter.

    Kabir (Abhay Deol) plans a bachelor road trip to Spain with his high school friends ? Imraan (Farhan Akhtar) and Arjun (Hrithik Roshan), where each one gets to pick an adventure sport for the trio to perform and live life to the fullest.

    Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara grossed Rs.108 crores at the box office within 10 days of its release. It has garnered an impressive gross collection of Rs. 52.50 crores worldwide in the opening weekend and is the highest grossing Hindi film of 2011 in the overseas markets.

  • Larry King Sits Down for Rare Interview with Johnny Depp

    One of the most celebrated actors of his generation, Johnny Depp, sits down with legendary interviewer Larry King for a rare, candid and in-depth interview. The famously private actor gives King a tour of his private office in Hollywood, showing his personal paintings and memorabilia and opens up to King about his life and work. The interview premieres on CNN International on Saturday, October 22 at 6:30pm IST.

    During the interview, Depp touches upon fame, success and failure. He also reveals new details about upcoming projects including his next film, "Dark Shadows," with long-time collaborator Tim Burton, and his upcoming film, "The Rum Diary", which is based on the life of his good friend Hunter S. Thompson.

    Depp and King talk about his family and friendships with his mentors Marlon Brando and Thompson. Depp credits Brando with changing the way actors work, saying that "Marlon reinvented acting, he revolutionized acting." Johnny Depp, a vocal advocate for the West Memphis 3, also comments on the release of the three men, who had served close to 20 years for murder.

    Depp is a three time Academy Award nominee for Best Actor and a Golden Globe winner. The interview will re-air on Sunday, October 23 at 2:30pm IST

  • Stuck in traffic? MTV offers a musical drive through Mumbai roads

    Mumbai: One more innovation from the iconic brand MTV, in association with Vizeum India, cheers the Mumbai-ites stuck in daily traffic. Traffic jams have become a predictable nightmare across the cities, and Mumbai is no different. Some claim that they spend more than 1/5th of their productive hours in traffic or on roads. In line with its commitment towards music, MTV has literally decided to fill music in the daily lives of the commuters. The innovative OOH campaign designed for Micromax MTV Unplugged combines audio, visual & digital media to bring musical relief to those caught on the roads. MTV?s OOH hoardings, located at prominent positions at traffic choked intersections, highlight a unique radio FM frequency - 90.8 FM. People walking on road, travelling in a car or public transport can tune in to the radio frequency through their car audio (FM) device or personal mobile FM. Once they tune in, they can enjoy the non-stop episodes of Micromax MTV Unplugged and listen to the eclectic mix of artistes featuring in the show. This unique tune-in opportunity will be available through the evening drive time (7PM ? 930PM) through the key arterial roads in Mumbai including SV Road, Linking Road and parts of Western Express Highway.
