  • Zee TV associates with Save The Chidren India

    MUMBAI: This year, India?s leading general entertainment channel, Zee TV will celebrate Diwali by bringing a smile to many faces. The channel has entered into an exclusive tie-up with the Mumbai based NGO, Save The Children India (STCI), and our first initiative is to spread Diwali cheer amongst underprivileged children who are being educated and trained at the NGO?s Centre for a better tomorrow. Come Friday, 29 October, 2010, popular actors Iqbal Khan (Rudra), Binny Sharma (Gauri) and Aditii Gupta (Peehu) from Zee TV?s hit primetime serial Sanjog Se Bani Sangini will visit the Centre and treat the kids to a fun filled and entertaining Diwali celebration that they truly deserve.

    Zee TV is a pioneer in showcasing content that deals with issues prevalent in our society and spread awareness with shows like Saat Phere, Aap Ki Antara, Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan and Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo. Now, Zee TV has taken this endeavour ahead beyond television to spread the message to millions of viewers across India to stand up for a cause and help spread cheer amongst thousands of disadvantaged women and children in our society. Iqbal, Binny and Aditii will ensure that the children from the Centre have an experience that they will cherish for a lifetime.

    Recently as a CSR initiative, Zee Cinema had undertaken a ?Gift a Toy? activity in which all Zee Network employees in Mumbai & Delhi were to donate old toys. The toys collected from this donation drive will be given to children from STCI on 29th October.

Their programs are aimed at making a better world by ensuring protection of core rights of women and children i.e. protection, survival, development and participation.

  • Excel releases ?A-Team? on DVD & Blu-Ray

    Directed by Joe Carnahan, A-Team stars Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, and Sharlto Copley as The A-Team, an elite army team, imprisoned for a crime they did not commit.     Synopsis: Four Iraq war veterans, led by Col. John ‘Hannibal‘ Smith, on the run from the US military who suspect them of committing a crime, set about trying to clear their names. Becoming mercenaries and employing a wide range of uniquely offensive skills mixed in with a healthy dose of eccentric behavior, Smith and his cohorts, ‘Faceman‘ Peck, ‘Howling Mad‘ Murdock and ‘B.A.‘ Baracus, set out to right the wrong done to them by any means necessary - and some that aren‘t.

    MUMBAI: Shortly after 1800 hours, 11 July 2006, Mumbai was shattered by seven bomb blasts on Western Railway stations: Matunga, Mahim, Khar, Bandra, Jogeshwari, Borivali, and Bhayandar. It took the Police and ambulance over an hour to attend at various sites. This incident changes lives of Thomas, originally from Chennai, who sells tea from his bike; Rupali Joshi, a TV News reporter, who has to deal with the death of her to-be spouse, Ajay Kumar Pradhan; Suresh, in debt, starts to suspect all Muslims, especially Yusuf; Inspector Tukaram Patil, about to retire, goes about collecting bribes as usual, much to the chagrin of his embittered, honest and soon to-be suspended subordinate, Sunil Kadam; while Nikhil Agarwal, a Nationalist and environmentalist, debates whether he should re-locate to the United States, along with his pregnant wife, Sejal.

    Mumbai Meri Jaan is a 2008 Hindi film directed by Nishikant Kamat and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. It stars R. Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan, Irfan Khan, Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon. It deals with the aftermath of the 11 July 2006 Mumbai train bombings, where 209 people lost their lives and over 700 were injured. It won multiple Filmfare Awards.
