  • Rising Sun Entertainment ties up with Zapak.com for Aao Wish Karein

Submitted by ITV Production on Oct 29, 2009

MUMBAI: Aftab Shivdasani‘s Rising Sun Entertainment has tied up with Zapak.com to create the official website of its forthcoming film Aao Wish Karein releasing in November.

Movie-based websites have been common to all new releases but this is one with a difference. Not being an ordinary film-based website, this site has no information regarding the movie, instead it is a wishing website which requests one to make a wish.

What one has to do is, log on to www.aaowishkarein.com and make a wish. This wish can then be circulated on social websites where his/her friends and dear ones give good wishes for the wish to come true.

The interactive nature of online movie promotion, both, in terms of providing instant response and eliciting responses, is a unique quality of the medium.

Says Shivadasani, "Being the producer of the movie, I was involved in all decisions associated with it. Internet is a very important medium to reach out to all movie lovers and I wanted to do something different in this space. With Zapak we have created a very novel movie website and I want to ask everyone to check it out and post their wish. As I really believe that wishes do come true."

Avers Zapak Digital Entertainment Ltd Chief Marketing Officer Arun Mehra, "The format of aaowishkarein.com is very interesting, it offers novelty and an engaging activity for the users. It helps them to interact with the characters in this fairy tale film alongside film information. Zapak.com, now, is increasingly becoming a preferred partner for digital strategy and internet marketing needs of today‘s movie marketers."

I feel last year (despite the downfall) was very good for the Indian economy. The year gave us an opportunity to take stock, companies focused on leveraging their resources much better and India stands stronger today with the economic support that the government has extended. If India treats this as an opportunity to grow the Indian infrastructure, India will witness dramatic growth for years to come. I thank government for the policies implemented last year that have helped India come through so brilliantly.?

Winning the award in the same category Ms. Chanda Kochhar, CEO, ICICI Bank added, ?The year 2010 is already showing signs of revival. In the years that have gone by we have seen that domestic consumption has been a growth driver for India, however in the coming years it will be both investment and domestic consumption that will drive the growth of Indian economy. For the year 2010 the manufacturing companies are seeing increased domestic consumption and gradually the confidence levels of individuals and the corporates have come back.
