  • ?Walking Raagas? - special Health Music Album launched by IDEA & Indian Music Academy

    MUMBAI: In yet another pioneering initiative, IDEA Cellular, one of the leading telecom operators in the country has launched a special compilation of Health Music, in association with the Indian Music Academy (IMA), titled the ?Walking Ragaas?. The music album is a collection of various Ragas and Vedic mantras which have been proved to be good for physical health of listeners.

    In line with the IDEA brand campaign titled ?Walk When You Talk? based on the theme of Health & Fitness, the new music album consists of eight different tracks derived from the mantras of the Vedas. This music is considered good for vital physiological functions of the body, and overall physical health of listener, especially when heard while walking.

    Morning walkers, music lovers, health conscious individuals, and all those who have always aspired to be in good health but are unable to indulge in a regular fitness regime, now have a musical route to fitness!

    According to Durga Jasraj, Spokesperson, Indian Music Academy, ?The music of this album that spans for about 45 minutes is being created especially for fitness enthusiasts. The first audio track of the album features a particular mantra from the Upanishads which improves the breathing in human beings. The subsequent tracks have been created keeping in mind the increased tempo of brisk walking along with other body functions. The tracks have been weaved in consultation with the fitness experts while maintaining proper synchronizations in tandem with the rhythm and harmonics.?

    The new Music album from IDEA and IMA is a compilation of eight songs which are effective in stimulating the mind and body of listener. Celebrated composer Shaarangdev, has used rhythm and harmonies that match the rhythm and pace of the listener?s heartbeat during various stages of a walking regime, thus creating a holistic experience for those looking for something more from their exercise regime. Alongside these are chants and mantras that have been selected from the Upanishads specifically for their healing powers and have favourable effect on the human body, especially in curing various ailments

    Besides the ?introductory song?, the CD also has tracks titled ?The Journey Begins?, ?Pulse?, ?Ideas in Harmony?, ?Divinity in Motion?, ?Cosmic Groove?, ?A Step Beyond? and ?Gravity?.

    Songs from the ?Walking Raagas? can be downloaded by IDEA subscribers from the dialer tone multi modal number 56787. IDEA subscribers can also listen to the Music on Idea Music Station. The health music CD will be available soon at all leading music outlets across the country for just Rs. 180.
