    MUMBAI: It was a night of bling, glitter, glamour and extravagance to celebrate the stupendous success of fifteen glorious years of branded jewellery in India by the pioneers ? Gitanjali Group. The evening saw a glamorous mix from the world of fashion and Bollywood with the likes of Bollywood superstars like Salman Khan, Bipasha Basu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Celina Jaitely, Dino Morea and a host of others walking the ramp for celebrated designers like Neeta Lulla, Rocky S and Vikram Phadnis.

    The highlight of the evening was the introduction of IIFA BLING with Gitanjali creating a line of Jewelry (Diamond / Gold / Silver / Fashion) and Watches. This line will be labeled ?BOLLYWOOD JEWELS? for IIFA.

    Creativity was at its peak with the crew of Shiamak Davar setting the stage on fire. Cricketing heroes took over the fashion world and it was a delight to see Viraat Kohli, Manish Pandey & Pravin Kumar walk the ramp. Models sashayed down the ramp displaying magnificent pieces which enthralled the crowd. It was a night of glitter, bling and extravagance.

  • The teams crack a muddy puzzle this week on I am a Celebrity

    MUMBAI: After battling with poisonous creatures and trauma tanks, the teams now gather for some muddy fun!

    The latest challenge involves brains and brawn. The women and men both have to decide which two players from each team will participate and they all choose their most competitive players. Torrie and Patti agree to take on the challenge, while John and Daniel represent the men.

    The teams have to pass through an obstacle course that involves trudging through mud, and muddy water, in order to grab giant pieces of foamy material that are pieces to a puzzle. The challenge involves a lot of strength and endurance, but the women stay neck-and-neck with the men.

    The teams gather to see the Damien and Myleene, who have the results from the elimination vote. The two hosts will reveal that Janice and Patti are safe from elimination; Angela and Torrie are not. But, the results will not be revealed until the end of the show.

    The players all gather around the fire to enjoy a last meal together before finding out which one of them will be going home.

  • 94.3 MY FM launches 'Khaki Ko Rakhi'

    MUMBAI: Taking the age-old festival of Raksha Bandhan to a new and meaningful level, 94.3 My FM utilised the ‘thread‘ that binds brothers to sisters as their protectors, to disseminate powerful social messages. All the 17 stations of MY FM unveiled the ‘Khaki ko Rakhi‘ drive a day before Raksha Bandhan and on the day of Raksha Bandhan morning girls tied Rakhi on the wrists of the policemen to remind them of their duties-that of protectors of the weak and the helpless-in this instance girls who are vulnerable to anti-social elements and social biases and practices. After announcing the unique concept in the morning show, My FM RJs accompanied young girls from an orphanage to tie rakhi on policemen‘s wrists.

    In Punjab, where the state is grappling with the rising incidence of female foeticide and where the male-female ratio is a shaming, My FM utilised the Raksha Bandhan concept to drive home the powerful social message against female foeticide. On Rakhi morning yesterday, all male RJs of MY FM tied the rakhi on the policemen‘s wrists with the intention of spreading awareness amongst them regarding this serious issue with the message to ‘Stop Female Foeticide‘.

    During other popular shows, RJs invited all aggrieved girls harassed by roadside Romeos of the city to call them. MY FM RJs then officially announced the name of the particular Romeos on air and declared them ‘Bhaiyas‘ of the girls.

    Commenting on this innovative social initiative, 94.3 MY FM‘s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Harrish M Bhatia says "Radio is a powerful medium for social messaging. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, we decide to use our services to throw light on the social evils prevalent in society against our womenfolk. Security of girls is a paramount concern and we want the men in khaki to realise their responsibilities towards the girls."
