Zee News' CSR initiative for a healthy India 'Saaf Pani Swastha Bharat'
MUMBAI: To spread awareness among the masses about the importance of saving and using clean water, Zee News, has announced a first of its kind campaign - ‘Saaf Pani Swastha Bharat‘.
Under the aegis of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) brief, the Zee News initiative is aimed at sensitising viewers about the problems emanating from using polluted water and related protective measures for a healthy living.
Scheduled to launch early next week, ‘Saaf Pani Swastha Bharat‘ will be a 40-day drive and will be executed in three phases. In the first phase Zee News will air special stories and programming capsules to inform viewers on subjects like importance of clean water, its benefits, restoration and conservation of natural water resources and other saving methodologies. Subsequently, the channel will also focus on spreading awareness by providing insights about water borne diseases, ways to get clean water, advice from doctors etc. through programming and discussion shows in the second phase. The campaign will culminate with a series of ground events involving viewers across the country.
‘Saaf Pani Swastha Bharat‘ campaign is not the only initiative that Zee News has introduced to educate the masses. During the General Assembly Elections, the channel had undertaken a unique Voting Awareness campaign ‘Aapka Vote Aapki Taaqat‘. Aimed at encouraging and empowering the youth to vote intelligently, the campaign motivated people above the age of 18 to cast their vote judiciously. Organised across 10 important cities, campaign ‘Aapka Vote Aapki Taaqat‘ witnessed a series of informative and engaging on-air and on-ground activities. Acknowledged as India‘s biggest voter awareness initiative, ‘Aapka Vote Aapki Taaqat‘, also garnered support from Election Commission of India and the channel had partnered with important and influential bodies like Akhil Bhartiya Jan Chetna Manch, NSS and Nehru Yuva Kendra.
