  • PIX rates as the no.1 English Movie channel for the prime time slot in the week

Submitted by ITV Production on Sep 02

MUMBAI: PIX, the premier English movie channel from Multi Screen Media Pvt Ltd has rated as the no. 1 English movie channel in the week 34 in Mumbai beating both Star Movies and HBO in the prime time slot this week.

According to TAM data, In the English movie channel genre, GRPs for week 34 2008, TG 15-44 years, Sec A & B show PIX getting a rating of 4.6 in Mumbai Prime Time (20.00hrs ? 23.59 hrs) higher than HBO at 4.5 and Star Movies at 4.2., Zee Studio at 2.2 and World Movies at 1.0.

In All Day Ratings (2.00 hrs? 23.59) hrs in Delhi, PIX got a rating of 7.5, while HBO rated 6.72, Star Movies at 8.5, Zee Studio at 3.85 and World Movies at 1.75

According to Mr. Sunder Aaron, Business Head, PIX, ?PIX has stuck to its mission of showing movies with great stories. It continues to pay off. We are #1 in Mumbai, and #2 in Delhi. This is based on GRPs, and not Time Spent, which the metric that new channels like World Movies prefer to measure by. While Time Spent is a good statistic to keep in mind, if your audience amounts to just a handful of people watching your channel, what does it matter whether they watch for 2 minutes or 2 hours?

PIX tends to achieve well wherever we have strong distribution relative to our competition. While it‘s flattering to see competing channels emulate us with their campaigns and positioning, pound for pound PIX is a more ‘nutritional‘ viewing choice! We will continue to prove this over the coming weeks with a lot more exciting programming announcements for our viewers!?

This September, PIX gives you the perfect dose of laughter therapy as ?Subtle Comedy? is the theme for the month. Comedy movies lined up this month are rib ticklers like Man‘s Favourite Sport , Two Mules For Sister Sara, The Party, National Lampoon‘s Animal House, Come September, I Wanna Hold Your Hand and many more.
