  • Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa announces the 9 finalist

    MUMBAI: Zee TV‘s immensely popular Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li‘l Champs has announced that the hunt for India‘s most promising young voice has reached a crucial turning point. The series that kicked off with twenty-eight young aspirants from across the globe has lent the children a golden platform to showcase their talent. The kids are being groomed by none other than Sonu Niigaam and Suresh Wadkar. Featuring some of the bollywood‘s biggest names on its panel of celebrity judges the show has successfully made its popular anchor Aditya Narayan a national heartthrob and its little contestants household names.

    Speaking on the latest developments on the show, Tarun Mehra, Zee TV, Business Head said, "We are proud that Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L‘il Champs has met with a stupendous response from an audience that cuts across barriers of age, demographics and culture. The show has now reached an exciting milestone with only 9 super-talented kids vying for the title.     The 9 chote ‘Mahaarathis‘ who will be seen braving the battle are Lucknow ke chote nawab Tanmay Chaturvedi, papa ke ankhon ka tara Nagpur ka Rohit Shyam Raut, Delhi ka Shahrukh Vibhor Parashar, Delhi ki roshni Vasundhara Raturi, Prince of Patiala Sardar Rohanpreet Singh, Surma bhopali Aamir Hafiz, Bhopal ki chimnee Vaishali Raikwar, the Li‘l poetess Mariani Assam ki Anamika Choudhari and Tripura ki aandhi Smita Nandi.

    Also biting their nails would be the mentors, Sonu Nigam and Suresh Wadkar, who have invested great time and effort in grooming them.

    The twenty-eight contestants who made it to the show have enjoyed the opportunity of learning from fraternity stalwarts and celebrities such as Sonu Niigaam, Suresh Wadkar, Asha Bhosale, Karisma Kapur, Aamir Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Mithun Da, Amrita Rao, Usha Uthup and Alka Yagnik.   • CNN-IBN's 'To Catch a Star' returns with a brand new season

    MUMBAI: Satiate your weekly cravings of Bollywood stars up-close-and-personal as CNN-IBN‘s popular celebrity talk show - ‘To Catch a Star‘ returns.As a part of its third season, the show will focus on the eminent music personalities of Indian cinema with Rajeev Masand, CNN-IBN‘s Entertainment Editor, interviewing the likes of Shankar-Ehsan-Loy, Vishal-Shekhar, AR Rahman and Lata Mangeshkar. Beginning 19 January, the show will air every Saturday at 10:30 pm with a repeat on Sundays at 1:30 pm.

  • Countdown to the finale begins: Jjhoom India

    MUMBAI: This Friday Jan 4th episode will see Shekhar Suman and Sunjeevani being eliminated from the show Jjhoom India leaving the last three fantastic jodis to compete further.
    Here is a gist of Saturday 5 January episode of SaharaOne Television Jjhoom India.

    Coming Saturday, our top 3 jodis namely Sachin-Madhushree, Varun-Akriti and Roshni-Vinod will be seen rendering some mind blowing performances. With the competition getting even tougher and just two weeks for the grand finale, the three amazing teams have worked really hard on their voice. Next week, the two finalists will be declared.

    The jodis who have made it to the top three positions are :

    • Roshni Chopra - Vinod Rathod
    • Sachin Tyagi - Madhushree
    • Varun Badola - Akriti Kakar

    But this week is not easy. This week, there will be two difficult rounds. Round 1 will be judges choice where in the our jury will give three song options to the jodis on the spot. Jodis will choose one among the three songs and sing the song impromptu.

    Round 2 will see our actors give solo-performances. But the difference will be that co-contestants will give two songs option to the actor who will perform on stage. The actor can then decide on what suits him or her best and render the song.

  • AOL Feature's Consumers in its New TV Campaign

    MUMBAI: AOL‘s India portal www.aol.in has featured a winner of the AOL BANO TV star contest in their new TV commercial. The lucky winner has been selected among thousands of entries for the BANO AOL STAR contest.

    The BANO AOL STAR campaign invited consumers to give feed back on AOL‘s email service and get a chance to feature in their nextTV commercial. . The campaign offered a platform to consumers to appear on national TV: allanyone needed to do was to givetheir views on AOL‘s email service and get lucky. The campaign was targeted at the 18-22 yr age group, who are avid net users.

    AOL adopted a very transparent procedure to evaluate the feedback received and choose the lucky winner. Of the short listed entries, those who were willing to be filmed were invited for auditions and screen tests. The final winner ; Mr. Suryakant Chaterjee , a 26 year old media executive from New Delhiwas chosen based on those criteria.

    On this new initiative from AOL, Mr. Krish Seshadri, Head-Marketing AOL said "The approach adopted is very unique in itself, as our consumers have been made an integral part of the evolution.We wantto ensure that we don‘t lose sight of our consumers and the way they perceive our product"

So this time Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM India?s hottest radio station invites listeners to break their New Year resolutions in style that too live on air.

    Radio Mirchi presents Resolution Ka Demolition where RJs will make 10 lucky listeners do what is contrary to what they have pledged for the New Year / to their resolutions, in the Mirchi studio. On 1 January, 2008, RJs will demolish resolutions of the selected Delhities. Like the listeners who want to loose weight will be made to eat cakes, chocolates, jalebis, the RJs will have the subscriptions of those who plan to join gyms cancelled, the die-hard party animals that resolve to party less will be gifted with party passes, and so on.

    So all that Delhities have to do is call Radio Mirchi and tell the RJ?s their wacky resolutions and Mirchi will make sure that their New year resolution gets demolished on the 1st of January.
