MUMBAI: Animal migrations are the most spectacular and grueling events in nature. Relying on muscle power alone, migrating animals traverse the most hostile environments on Earth - journeys that are fraught with danger. Can a human possibly compete in this ultimate survival challenge? Join Steve Leonard as he travels with individual animals to become part of the migrating group on their perilous journeys. Viewers will witness battles with predators, withstand extreme weather conditions, marvel at fantastic landscapes and experience great natural spectacles. Steve presents a whole new insight into the lives of these migrating animals in Animal Planet‘s new six-part action packed series Incredible Journeys with Steve Leonard, to air every Tuesday at 10 pm, starting 6th November. From a grey whale calf attempting its first arctic migration, to African wild dogs traversing miles of savannah to find a new mate, these are stories of real adventure. Working alongside intrepid wildlife experts, Steve unravels new discoveries in animal biology, revealing how these animals achieve their amazing feats. But will both man and beast make their final destination? On his wild voyage, Steve encounters with wide range of animals and captures some of the breathtaking challenges they undertake during migration such as ? a grey whale calf trying to avoid killer whales as it attempts its first arctic migration, three young osprey chicks travelling 3,000 miles from Massachusetts to South America, two mother polar bears travel the sea ice in search of food for their tiny cubs and many more.

In each episode, Steve battles with a variety of transport, from balloon to sea kayak, camel train to microlight and even on foot. Each exciting expedition in this gripping, jeopardy-filled series offers new revelations into the awesome lives of these animals.

Guided by satellite technology, Steve Leonard tries to travel with three young ospreys on their first-ever migration from North to South America. Steve tries to find out whether they survive, how they find their way and where they end up. On the Trail of the Caribou: 13 November

In this episode, Steve Leonard struggles with the extreme winter in the Yukon as he attempts to migrate across Canada with Claudia, a heavily pregnant caribou. Hounded by wolves, chased by bears and enduring appalling weather, can Claudia make it to safety to deliver her calf? Only by making her journey can Steve find out.

The Whales‘ Tale: 20 November

It‘s the longest migration on the planet, a staggering 12,000 miles. Grey whales make the ultimate round trip and this time Steve Leonard is going with them, all the way from Mexico to Alaska. Although they travel slowly, the whales just never stop and Steve finds it increasingly difficult trying to keep up.
