MUMBAI: Star Plus, the Hindi general entertainment channel from the Star stable, will draw the curtains on the second season of the Kiran Bedi-hosted Aap Ki Kachehri, come 2 October.
Launched on 5 August, the second leg of the social issue-based reality show will be replaced by the "Diwali special" at 8 pm band, informs a channel source.
Unlike the first season of the show that was placed at the 10.30 pm band, Aap Ki Kachehri 2 was unable to create the same brand buzz and thus curiosity when allotted the 8 pm slot.
It is pertinent to note here that, standing at the 8 pm band, the show contends against the highly-rated Balika Vadhu (Colors) and recently-launched Jhansi Ki Rani on Zee TV.
Aap Ki Kachehri features real people, cases and situations with an aim to educate and entertain. It gets disputing parties on the small screen to discuss their issues, examine probable solutions and solve matters amicably, while educating viewers on the legal aspects of such situations.
