Turner targets Asian buyers at Mipcom

MUMBAI: Turner?s branded syndication arm, Turner Content Solutions, brings new programming and a wide variety of entertainment genres to the television trade event Mipcom in Cannes, France.

The diverse slate includes drama, comedy, kids, reality, lifestyle, movies and documentaries, featuring quality home-grown shows from around Asia and beyond.

First viewings can be seen at Turner?s Mipcom stand where the pick of the programmes have been uploaded on TurnerContentSolutions.com and print catalogues.

On the Asia Pacific catalogue for the first time, designed for younger audiences is ?LazyTown?, a title that has promoted healthy-living for kids around the world. Created by and starring athletic Icelander Magnus Scheving, ?LazyTown? has been seen by more than 500 million young children and aired in 128 countries.

Turner International Asia Pacific executive director, syndication Asia Pacific Grace Chan said, "We can?t wait to bring this unique brand of energy and fun to homes around the region. ?LazyTown? is unlike any other younger-skewing series ? it cleverly fuses a healthy message with colour and loads of fun and excitement."

Turner Content Solutions is making the upcoming third season available from first quarter in 2013, while the first and second season and LazyTown Extras and ?LazyTown Action Time!? are on offer now. Co-production and format rights are all available.

On Turner?s general entertainment slate at Mipcom is a variety of series from truTV and North Asia, including content from Tabi Channel in Japan and QTV shows from Korea.

Highlights from QTV are ?4Minute?s Travel Maker?, ?B2ST on QTV?, ?Real Mate in Australia? and ?I?m Real? with celebrities Yeo Jin Koo, Lee Tae Sung, Oh Ji Ho and Lee Ji Ah. Offerings on the Japanese slate from Tabi Channel are: ?Hello! Camping Girls!?, ?Holistic Weekends?, ?We Love Bathing Wild!? and ?Europe Walk and Stroll?.
