MUMBAI: After the stupendous success of Dubai Super Sixes, their first international corporate cricket format, Ignitee Sports presents Puthiya Thalaimurai Chennai Super Sixes. Chennai‘s 1st & biggest Corporate tournament to be played in the Super Six format.
The Chennai Super Sixes tournament will be played in a knockout format where each participating team will comprise of 6 players along with 2 substitutes. From quarter finals onwards, Chennai Super Sixes will have international cricketers participating in the event like Sanath Jayasurya, Vinod Kambli and Lance Klusner to name a few. This gives all the teams an opportunity to rub shoulders with their cricketing heroes. The 8 quarter final teams will be assigned an international player as a playing member of the team.
Ford has been roped in as the co-sponsor and the list of associate sponsors would include Club Mahindra and Hygrevar Estates. The supporting partner and apparel partners are Enchanting Tamil Nadu and Reebok accordingly. Star Vijaya and The Hindu are the print media partners and Chennailive 104.8 FM and 92.7 Big FM are the official radio partners.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Shankar B. COO, Ignitee Digital solutions Pvt Ltd, said, " This is Chennai‘s first biggest corporate tournament to be played in a Super Six format. All league matches will be played at the Mayajaal Sports Ground. Matches will be played between 9 am - 5 pm during weekends. Best of Infrastructure and facilities will add excitement to the participants. The tournament starts on 19th January, 2011 and ends with the grand finale on 25th January, 2011.
