Asianet ropes in three sponsors for Christmas Day
BENGALURU: The Star Network’s Malayalam GEC Asianet has roped in Josco Jewellers as Christmas Day sponsor with Malaba
MUMBAI: Asianet is launching the second season of its popular game show ?Ningalkkum Aakam Kodeeswaran? on 1 March.
To be anchored by Suresh Gopi, the Malayalam version of the British quiz show format ?Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?? will give a person an opportunity to win up to Rs 10 million.
Jointly produced by Asianet and Big Synergy Media, the show will air every Monday to Thursday at 8 pm.
The game show has been adapted by different regions in India in different languages, the most popular being ?Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) in Hindi?.
MUMBAI: Asianet has announced the telecast of the 15th edition of Asianet Film Awards on 2 February at 6.30 pm.
The awards show that felicitates performances in the Malayalam film industry was held recently at Port Trust Stadium, Willington Island, Cochin and witnessed people from the film industry and socio-cultural spheres.
The channel has got Ujala on board as the presenting sponsor of the show.
The event was directed and coordinated by Asianet Event Management team led by MR Rajan and B S Praveen Kumar.
Kamala Hassan was felicitated by Mammootty and Asianet managing director K.Madahan for his outstanding contributions to Indian Film Industry.
There were performances by leading Malayalam artistes along with a mix of celebrities from Tollywood and Bollywood. People like Priyadarshan, Bhumika Chawla, Meena and Nedumudi Venu graced the event.
BENGALURU: The Star Network?s Malayalam GEC Asianet will be airing the 15th edition of Asianet Film Awards in two parts over two days on the weekend of February 2, 3 between 6.30 and 10 PM.
The channel has roped in a host of sponsors across verticals such as jewellery, financial services, consumer products, healthcare, sports, textiles and garments. The title sponsor is Ujala, and the event is powered by Muthoot Finance. Among the co-sponsors are brands such as Bhima Jewellers, Maxo, Exo, Prill, Skoda, Josco, Kalyan Silks, Nirapara, In-shape, Sheeba , Joy Alukkas, etc.
Promos for the event will start airing from tomorrow (Thursday, January 24) onwards on Asianet. One of the highlights of the event was the felicitation of Bollywood and South Indian film doyen Kamal Hasan by Malayalam and South Indian actor Mammootty and Asianet managing director K Madahan for his outstanding contribution to Indian Film Industry. Actor Jayaram was also honored for his 25 years long outstanding film career in various languages.
MUMBAI: Malayalam entertainment channel Asianet will kick-off its special programming for the Christmas festival with Christmas choir Gloria on 25 December at 6.30 am.
Gloria will be followed by Christmas Sandesham at 7 am and Vellithirayile Nithyavasantham, a chat show with veteran actress Sheela, at 7.30 am.
A special programme, Happy Christmas Daa Thadiya, is at 8 am while Comedy skit Pappiyude Happy Christmas is at 8.30 am.
A special rogramme on movie Kammath & Kammath, Kammath Kudumbathile Kalyana Viseshangal, will be shown at 9 am. The broadcaster will have a chat show with megastar Mammootty and director Ranjith 5.30 pm. A Christmas special, Comedy Express, is at 10 pm.
Asianet is also all set to telecast world movie premieres such as Usthad Hotel (starring: Dulkar Salman, Thilakan, Nithya Menon) at 9.30 am, The King & The Commissioner (starring: Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, Samvritha Sunil) at 1.30pm, and Mayamohini (starring: Dilip, Biju Menon, Babu Raj , Lakshmi Rai) at 6 pm.
