MUMBAI: Times Now has introduced a fresh programming line-up to commemorate 60 years of India?s Independence. The special schedule will track India?s journey over the last six decades encapsulating the highs and the lows, the triumphs and the glories for its viewers.

Starting on 28 July, the month long celebration will comprise of special weekend shows like Total Recall, India in 2067, The Border, Celebrating India and Voices of Freedom.

Total Recall - News Television will link news footage and news television in the last 60 years to chronicle changes in the country tracking the ?Biggest news moments? on Indian television.

India 2067- Looking ahead 60 years from now will present a futuristic outlook of what India will be in 60 years. Celebrating India is a special two part series which will look back at the greatest moments in India?s post Independence history, from the ?Tryst with Destiny? speech to the 1983 world cup, Rakesh Sharma?s journey into space and the RTI (Right to information) Act in 2005.

?The Border- Real People, Real Stories will peak into how the Indian sub-continent that was partitioned into India and Pakistan 60 years ago. The series will look at the International border between India and Pakistan, its history and its continued significance for people 60 years after it first came up.

Lastly, the Reels of Freedom - Celebrating India in Cinema will take a look at the socialist zeal of the 50?s to the melodrama of Manoj Kumar, to the activism of Rang De Basanti. The special episode will peek into the last 60 years of patriotic cinema-from jingoism to a more questioning Nationalism.

The special line-up will end with a panel discussion on with several prominent personalities sharing their opinion on India in the future on 15 August.
