    MUMBAI: With the Olympic Games kicking off next month, infotainment channel History TV18 is launching a new show profiling the medal hopefuls.

    It is a way of transmitting the positive cheer to Olympics contenders, who are stretching to their maximum limit, all in the hope of winning that one medal that counts.

    ?Go For Glory?, which kicked off today at 8.30 pm, is a six episode series committed to the medal aspirants. Each episode will be dedicated to a particular sport - Hockey, Badminton, Shooting, Boxing, Wrestling and Women Special. Each episode will bring the audience up close and personal with the aspirants, as the show is precisely designed to profile their past achievements, their aspirations and their life on and off the field.

    The Hockey special show will bring into fore the Indian team members likes of Bharat Chetri, Shivendra Singh, Tushar Khandkar, Sandeep Singh along with former players like Jagbir Singh, Zafar Iqbal, Balbir Singh, amongst others.

    Saina Nehwal, Parupalli Kashyap, Ashwini Ponappa and Jwala Gutta will take the limelight in the Badminton special episode.

    The women special episode will profile prominent names like Mary Kom (Boxing), Bombayala Devi (Archery), Deepika Kumari (Archery), Chekrovolu Swuro (Archery) and Krishna Poonia (Discus).
