MUMBAI: Aashish Dubey‘s short film Aisa Hota Hai has been selected to be screened at the 26th Fribourg International Film Festival (FIFF) in Switzerland.
An 11-minute crime-comedy, the film follows the story of five guys who meet under mysterious circumstances. "I was shocked when I first heard that the movie has been selected for the festival. It is not an issue-based story but a commercial one. I am very happy and this gives me a lot of motivation to continue doing such work," Dubey has reportedly said.
Incidentally, Dubey had written a few stories before but couldn‘t make them as they were exceeding his budget. "I realised I cannot afford good looking actors and models and decided to take normal people. I decided to make a criminal story because the actors looked best in that role," he added.
The festival that started from 24 March will go on till 31 March.
