Taking advantage of the visit, the filmmakers will participate in the Jerusalem International Film Festival (JIFF) that was flagged off on 7 July. The festival winds up on 16 July.

The visit is part of the American Jewish Committee‘s (AJC) ‘Project Interchange’ in association with the Australia-Israel Jewish Affairs Council.

The Indian delegation comprises of nine Indian film professionals, led by Film Producer Guild chairman Supran Sen, will meet Israel‘s leading directors and producers such as Yoram Globus, head of Globus Group Israel Studios, and Israel Horowitz, Globus Group CEO and General Director.

The group will also meet key figures in Israeli technological innovation, including Jerusalem Venture Partners Chair and Partner Uri Adoni, and Renen Schorr, Chairman of the New Foundation for Cinema and Television.

Interestingly, Gangor, a film based on a story ‘Behind the Bodice by noted Bengal writer Mahashweta Devi, is set to premiere at the Festival. The film has been produced by Vinod Kumar and directed by Italo Spinelli.
