MUMBAI: In its zest to pay a tribute to Mani Kaul, the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) has decided to launch home videos of the priceless works of late director Mani Kaul.

Said NFDC managing director Nina Lath Gupta,"We are trying to bring out home videos of his films. We are also trying to showcase his movies at different film festivals.

Kaul had started his career as a filmmaker with NFDC. "He began his career with NFDC. He was also supposed to do his next film with us. He was an exceptional man. I think it‘s a big loss for the entire filmmaking community. We are in the process of restoring his films. We have already restored his films like Duvidha and Uski Roti.”

Currently, the NFDC is working on preserving Ashad Ka Ek Din and Nazar.
