Sequence of Housefull 2 to be shot in NASA’s weightlessness chamber

MUMBAI: In every film of his, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has a penchant to do something unusual. Like in the Akshay Kumar-starrer Kambakkht Ishq when he got Sylvester Stallone to do a cameo.

This time, for the Sajid Khan-directed Housefull 2, Nadiadwala has decided to offer nothing short of a spectacular. The film will possibly be the first in Bollywood to be shot at NASA’s Weightlessness Chamber.

While working on the script, the director conceptualised a crucial comic sequence wherein actors Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, Riteish Deshmukh and Rahul Khanna were required to be suspended in the air.

"It is not the climax but is significant to the plot. Usually, we have actors swinging from cables that are digitally removed later. But in this case, I wanted them to cross each other and that‘s not possible with wires because they would get entangled," Khan said.

The only other films to have been shot inside the Weightlessness Chamber are Apollo 13 in the year 1995 and Armageddon in 1998.
