Sterling cinema goes Dolby Digital with Barco

MUMBAI: Dolby Laboratories has, in collaboration with Barco, helped Sterling Cinema to become a Dolby 3D Digital cinema house of Mumbai.

Said Dolby Laboratories Sales and Business Development India Head Pankaj Kedia, “We are excited to announce Dolby 3D in India and pleased to work with Barco and Sterling Cinemas, that are among the most recognised cinema industry brands in India. Dolby 3D brings the picture out of the screen and into the audience with dramatic realism. By enhancing the quality of the picture with Dolby 3D, we can offer a richer, more memorable experience to cinema audiences.”

Being reusable, the per-ticket cost of Dolby 3D glasses can be well below the cost of disposable 3D glasses.

Dolby 3D has one of the largest global footprints with hundreds of exhibitor partners in over 80 countries.
