Trinidad and Tobago woos Bollywood

MUMBAI Trinidad and Tobago (TT) has called upon the Indian film industry to shoot their film on its exotic locales.

Speaking on the sidelines of a dinner party organised by the Bengal Chambers in Kolkata hosted by the Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) recently, Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar said that her country is inviting filmmakers in Bollywood to come and shoot their films in her country. She also said that her representatives in Mumbai are trying to establish contact with several filmmakers.

According to its official policy for the prospective film producer, Trinidad and Tobago not only offers its location sites but also arranges pre and post production facilities and a rebate programme with key incentives to film companies who select TT for their production.

Bissessar was on a tour of Kolkata to visit the Kolkata Memorial Monument by the Ganges from where her ancestors had set sail for Trinidad and Tobago in the middle of the 19th Century as indentured labourers.
