MUMBAI: As part of the Film Bazaar India ‘10, the National Film Development Corporation Ltd. (NFDC) will organise co-production market, a film market specially designed for the filmmakers. The film market will be held alongside the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa.
This initiative undertaken by NFDC aims to offer selected filmmakers the opportunity to present their feature film projects (in all languages and at any stage of production) to co-producers, bankers, funds, sales agents, distributors, TV stations and other potential financiers from India and abroad.
Film Bazaar is open for feature-length fiction (75 mins and above) only and non-fiction films with potential for theatrical distribution. However, short film or TV documentary submissions will not be accepted.
The co-production market at Film Bazaar presents to the world feature-length (75 minutes or more) fiction projects that are Indian stories. Here, these selected projects receive the opportunity to be pitched by their representatives to potential collaborators for finance, distribution and artistic support through one-to-one meetings.
The selection committee of the Film Bazaar will screen the applications and select deserving 10 projects for the 2010 edition.
Applications will be accepted till 30 September at the NFDC offices.
