Mumbai, August 30, 2006: NRS ‘06, the most exhaustive media research available to advertisers, advertising agencies and the media, has announced its findings on Radio Listenership in India. And Radio City has clearly emerged as a winner in the FM Radio Space in terms of its overall listenership and growth.

Radio has shown a healthy growth over last year, and 27% of the country tunes in every week, almost equaling the reach of print. FM overall has shown an explosive growth of 55%, reaching 119 million listeners every week.

Radio City is the consolidated number one station across Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, with 13.4 million listeners tuning in every week, 1 million more listeners than Mirchi. Radio City has shown healthy growth across all its existing stations from Phase I. In Mumbai, Radio City‘s reach stands at 61 lakhs. In Delhi, Radio City‘s the fastest growing private FM station, reaching out to 48.7 lakh listeners. Radio City in Bangalore is the most popular station and is number 1 in listenership with an overall reach of
24.7 lakh listeners. In Lucknow, Radio City has grown substantially, and is the number one station, reaching 9 lakh listeners.

NRS is the world‘s largest readership survey and covers over 2.8 lakh respondents across India. The survey is conducted under the aegis of the National Readership Survey Council with the fieldwork carried out by ACNielsen ORG-MARG.
