MUMBAI: From comedy to thriller, action, romance and so on?Omar Qureshi discusses in detail and gives his take on the latest movies on the Friday, 11 September 2009, 7:30pm episode of ?The ZoOm Review Show?.

Emotions are set to run high as Omar takes viewers through the upcoming ?Vaada Raha? directed by Samir Karnik starring the suave Bobby Deol in the lead role with a special appearance by the beautiful Kangana Ranaut. The movie is based on the life story of a doting young man Duke Chawla. He has all that one could ever want, a successful medical career, a doting girlfriend and dreams that are coming true. Until one night changes it all. A fatal car crash leaves him neck down paralysed and puts an end to his perfect life. He loses all that he had including his girlfriend, his house and his career. A man who was once an epitome of hope finds no reason to live. He sees death as a better option than to live like a vegetable. Omar further provides interesting facts such as the fact that this movie is the first time Bobby Deol and Kangna Ranaut are paired together.

Next on the cards is Omar?s takes on ?Baabarr? directed by Ashu Trikh stars Soham Deepak, Mithun Chakraborty and Urvashi Sharma. The film, set in Lucknow, depicts the effect of illiteracy on today‘s youth, their outlook and aspirations. The film throws light on the growing ambitions of the youth and how their focus shifts to organized crime with an underlying message that crime never dies, it just changes faces.

Check out which movie takes the cake this week on the Hollywood releases as Omar reviews ?9?. A new era in animated storytelling begins on 9.9.09. Directed by Shane Acker, the movie stars Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Martin Landau, Christopher Plummer and Crispin Glover and features the music of Danny Elfman. When 9 (Elijah Wood) first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world. All humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction.

Omar further gives his take on the most talked about movie in town, a breezy comedy ?The Ugly Truth? by Robert Luketic starring Gerard Butler, Katherine Heigl, Cheryl Hines, Bonnie Somerville. The battle of the sexes heats up. Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a romantically challenged morning show producer whose search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. She‘s in for a rude awakening when her boss teams her with Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler), a hardcore TV personality who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick.

Followed by a 2009 science fiction movie, ?District 9? directed by Neill Blomkamp, written by Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell, and produced by Peter Jackson. The film stars Sharlto Copley, Jason Cope, and Robert Hobbs. Copley plays the role of Wikus van de Merwe, a bureaucrat assigned to relocate a stranded alien species from a refugee camp in Johannesburg, South Africa to a new one outside the city.

Tune in to find out the frontrunner movie of the week as Omar Qureshi gives his ratings on this week?s latest releases on ?The ZoOm Review Show? this Friday, 11 September 2009, 7:30pm only on ZoOm.
