ESPN Star Sports' (ESS) Singapore headquarters is seeing some changes in its top management.
Laura Mellanby, who has taken over as vice president, programming will be responsible for ESS' programming strategy, acquisitions and scheduling for all the nine ESPN and Star Sports networks throughout Asia. Laura was earlier head of programming at Sportsnet in Canada.
John Vamvakitis, previously vice president of business development at Pulse Entertainment in California, has joined ESS as vice president of strategic planning. He will be responsible for spearheading the conceptualization, analysis and evaluation of ESS' new business opportunities, as well as lead initiatives to improve the profitability and efficiency of existing operations.
Mai Tatoy, previously the communications manager with CNBC Asia Pacific has been appointed manager, marketing communications at ESS Singapore. At ESS, Mai will be responsible for the management and implementation of communications programmes including event promotion, media relations and programming publicity across the region.
