MUMBAI: In its journey of empowering India through India First Campaign, Zee News has garnered the support of the ONGC Durand Cup Football Society, the oldest tournament of Indian Army in the country for the campaign. Conceptualized to live up to the vision of Mahatma Gandhi?s ?India of my dream?, India First is yet another endeavour from the Zee News stable to encourage and inspire millions of Indians to believe in themselves and pledge to work towards the betterment of the country.

To spread the message, Zee News organised a friendly match between the members of the Indian Army and select players from the teams playing in the tournament with the kids from NGO ?Prayas?. The channel also organised an oath taking ceremony and invited people to become partner in this endeavour.

More than a century old, the ONGC Durand Football Tournament is the most prestigious football tournament in the country and adds to the glory of the Indian Army. Zee News the country?s oldest News Channel, carry the similar legacy has pioneered the India First Campaign, which is unique initiative to unite the country.

Delighted with the association, a senior official from the ONGC Durand Football Tournament Society said, ?In the Durand Cup, people from all corners of the nation come together on the playing field with a common objective of scoring a goal.
