NEW YORK: With the popularity of auto and motorcycle racing growing, the time seems right for a show that allows viewers a peek into the lives of those driving the fast machines. Male network's Spike TV has announced The Reality of Speed.
An official release informs that the first of its kind reality series will chronicle the lives of race car drivers off the track and will premiere in January in the US. The show stars the riders, driver and team members of the Holigan Racing teams competing in the AMA Supercross Series and the NASCAR Busch Series.
Race car drivers live on the edge. Each weekend they strap themselves into the world’s fastest machines and challenge the laws of speed in the most intense and high-risk major sport. The series will take an unblemished look at their day-to-day lives and illustrate all the hard work that goes in to be a champion driver. Each episode leads up to that week’s race adds the release.
Spike TV from the Viacom stable is available in 86 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks.
