Mobile software player Airwide sets up shop in India

BANGALORE: Global mobile infrastructure software solution provider Airwide Solutions is entering the Indian market. The company is planning a long-term investment, including product development, customer support, delivery and sales operations. 
A research, development and operations centre is planned for Gurgaon.
Airwide Solutions also announced the appointment of its India senior management team, including Rajive Chandra, regional director, and Amit Nagpal, general manager, states an official release.
Speaking on the launch, Nagpal commented, "India is a strategic market for Airwide as it offers a unique blend of access to world class software engineering talent and a messaging market that is among the fastest growing in the world. Our investment in this region will augment our existing development operations in the UK and Canada, and allow us to continue to deliver innovative products and solutions to our customers."
Nagpal adds, "Our experience helping mobile operators throughout the world to optimize their infrastructure and accelerate data services growth will benefit Indian mobile operators facing the same challenges."
Airwide Solutions will be serving the India market with its portfolio of messaging, mobile security and device management products, as well as comprehensive business intelligence tools and solutions to drive premium messaging services, the release adds.
