MPA's seminar on copyright enforcement tomorrow

MUMBAI: The Motion Picture Association (MPA), through its legal advisors Lall & Sethi, is organising a Copyright Enforcement of Motion Pictures seminar.
The seminar will take place at The Oberoi Hotel in downtown Mumbai tomorrow (7 October).
Joint Police commissioner Dr Satyapal Singh will inaugurate the seminar at 10 am. The Seminar aims at having an interactive session with the police officials to discuss the nuances of copyright enforcement.
All deputy commissioner of police (DCP) and one official from all police stations in Mumbai are expected to attend the seminar.
Issue of piracy of films, the powers of the police under the Copyright Act, the essential requirements under the copyright law and identification of pirated films from an original one are some issues on the seminar's agenda.
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is expected to present the Indian industry's perspective on the menace of film piracy.
