CNBC Arabiya debuts news operations in Riyadh

CNBC Arabiya

MUMBAI: In the wake of the latest changes in the Saudi information policy, CNBC Arabiya has announced the launch of its Saudi news operations in Riyadh. This is the first time that an international television news organisation is allowed to open a permanent fully-fledged news bureau in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
CNBC Arabiya, a six month old channel, touted as the region's leading business news channel, has been granted a business license that permits newsgathering and reporting from the Kingdom.
According to media reports, the move comes as the Saudi economy is growing and diversifying and there is a lot more news and information about business and economic developments that CNBC Arabiya will be able to report.
The business news channel is currently being broadcast from Dubai Media City with dedicated news bureaus across the region.
