Copa America reaches quarter finals; live action on Ten Sports

Ten Sports

MUMBAI: The Copa America Cup has reached its quarter final stage with Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Costarica, Paraguay, Uruguay, Mexico and Brazil making it to the last eight.

The quarter final matches are scheduled for 18 and 19 July. Ten Sports telecasts the live action with a repeat on the next day.

Compared to its defensive oriented European counterpart, the Copa America has been a virtual goalfest with dazzling goals as teams have preferred the offensive approach. If the number of goals scored in the first round is any indication, the quarterfinals can only get better as the top teams strive for Latin American glory. The first phase of Copa América ended after 18 matches, 55 goals (an average of 3 goals per game), said an official release.
