Cable ops in Karnataka to meet to debate CAS

Cable ops

MUMBAI :Cable ops, owing allegiance to different associations, have planned to hold a conference to discuss the issue of conditional access in the country.

The Karnataka Cable Television Operators Association and the Karnataka Cable Television Chamber of Commerce have called a conference later this month to discuss the need for CAS which is proposed to be implemented in India.

The conference is expected to be attended by representatives of the trade from Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The two bodies are also expected to submit a memorandum to the central government demanding the introduction of CAS in metros in the first phase of implmentation of the system, according to a report in the Hindu Business Line.
