MUMBAI: Metty Oli, Sun TV's longest running daily soap, is coming to an end. The soap will air its final episode on 17 June.

Metty Oli has consistently been Tamil television's top grosser in Television Rating Points (TRPs) since a long time. The soap, produced by Cine Times, had a run of 810 episodes. The other Sun TV soap Chitti, which was also a phenomenal hit, had run 488 episodes.

Indian television's longest running soap and the top grosser for Star, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, has already crossed 1000 episodes.

Confirms New Age Entertainment founder-promoter Suresh Iyer, "Metty Oli will end on 17 June." New Age Entertainment had the marketing rights to Metty Oli.

Replacing Metty Oli in the 9 pm slot will be another Cine Times production - Muhurtham. The family drama will kick off on 20 June, Monday. New Age Entertainment has bagged the marketing rights for the new show Muhurtham as well. The company is currently producing two daily soaps for Sun Network.
