MUMBAI: Fusion Events, the event management company, has won the mandate to hold auditions for Zee TV?s oldest singing reality show Saregamapa.

Fusion Events will be conducting auditions in Indore, Bhubaneshwar, Bangalore, Nagpur, Jalandhar, Jaipur for levels I and II and in the metros for level III.

Fusion Events CEO Alok Tilwankar said, ?It gives us immense pleasure to be associated with a channel that has redefined entertainment and given an opportunity to the common Indian to dream big and realise dreams with shows like Saregamapa and Dance India Dance. Our strength lies in mapping the Indian sensitivities and devising events like auditions with the viewers? and participants? requirements in mind. The response so far for the auditions has been overwhelming.?

Fusion?s mandate will also include providing the right ambience for the show, apart from scouting for the right talent.

The auditions have been devised to screen talent from various cities in India and to groom and mentor them for the show on the channel. Participants will pass through three levels before entering the show.

The participants will be screened by winners of previous seasons of Saregamapa at Level I. Level II will have classical music exponent, Sanjay Vidyarthi and Zee TV creative head non-fiction Ashish Golwalkar mentoring and judging the performance of selected participants.

For Level III, participants will be called to Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi. Final auditions will be judged by music director duos Vishal-Shekhar and Sajid-Wajid.

Golwalkar said, ?We have been working with Fusion for a long time now. They have an excellent execution system and have managed our shows like DID and DID Li?l Masters very well. The team is very hard working. We have benefitted from Fusion?s longstanding experience in organising events and hope to continue the working together.?

Adding more about the process of the auditions, Tilwankar said, ?Such popular shows have huge footfall and managing the crowd and maintaining the grandeur and reputation of the show is equally important. People can go to any extent to get selected in the show. In fact many a times that obsession creates a lot of nuisance for which we have to be prepared in advance. Mishaps and unpredictability are a part of these events. Security arrangements for the judges is also a big task, in fact sometimes we ourselves have to be on the grounds to see the management.?

The auditions will wind up by 8 June and the show will hit the air in July.
