WGA, proucers, networks to meet on 1 June

MUMBAI: The warring groups of Hollywood - the Writers Guild of America (WGA), Hollywood producers and three broadcast networks will resume their talks on 1 June.

The delay will give both sides time enough time to attend to all the important issues.

The WGA has rejected a three-year pact presented by the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. The WGA fears that it will result in huge health plan cuts and will not provide any new residual payments from the lucrative DVD market.

Producers favour a three-year deal, which they think will provide studios and networks with stability as they plan their schedules.
