MUMBAI: After a forgetful One Day International Series India will take on the hosts Zimbabwe in a two match Twenty20 International series ? The Micromax T20 Cup to be played at Harare. The hosts will be high on confidence from their two wins over India in the 50-50 version of the game in the recently concluded Tri Series with Sri Lanka and India. To see whether the Zimbabweans will show that they reign over the one time T20 World Champions in the shortest format of the game, tune into Ten Sports for all the LIVE action. (please check schedule)

India will have to tune their minds to get their act right for the shortest format of the game. Captain Suresh Raina will have to search within and along with the band of youngsters, prove that they have the talent to get the desired results. In the Tri Series Rohit Sharma impressed with the bat scoring 260 in 4 matches at an average of 86.6, but there were not many who rose to the occasion. In the bowling department, Ravindra Jadeja scalped 5 wickets with his slow left arm spin.

For the hosts in the Tri series Brendan Taylor scored 295 and showed that he could win matches for his team when it mattered most. And in the bowling department Prosper Utseya and Chris Mpofu were the most successful among the wickets for the Zimbabweans.

Twenty20 cricket is a different platform and various styles of play will be exhibited. There is no real gradation and this is the format where the cricket world?s lesser teams come to the fore. Zimbabwe has shown that in the 50-50 version they are a force to reckon with against the Indians, so the shortest format will promise to be a well contested affair.
