MUMBAI: Hungama TV is taking Doraemon and Pororo to meet fans across shopping malls in Mumbai.

Since last week of February, kids across major shopping malls in the city have been caught unawares by these characters distributing collectibles and also an opportunity to carry home a Polaroid snap with them. The characters have so far been to malls such as Globus, High Street Phoenix, R-Mall and The Hub.

"Such crawls give us an opportunity to take our characters closer to the kids and build a stronger bond with them. The response we have received is phenomenal. Over 80 per cent of the kids could identify Doraemon and Pororo giving credence to their rising popularity amongst the kids. We are planning to make such crawls a regular feature and take them to other cities too," said UTV senior vice president marketing and communications Siddharth Roy Kapur.

The weekend character crawls will carry on in Mumbai till mid -March.
