MUMBAI: Golden Challenge, Amrita TV?s game reality show that threw a gauntlet of questions to its participants and showered them with gold, reaches its Grand Finale on Sunday, July 18th at 8.30 pm.

A family quiz in which father, mother and children can participate as a team, Golden Challenge puts young heads and old together to choose the correct option to the questions asked.

This golden goose of a programme promptly gifts a 24 carat gold coin to every correct answer right on the stage itself, so that every team wins a stack of coins and leaves the show with their pockets clinking with gold.

Winners from each episode who were able to answer the maximum number of questions,

passed up successive rounds amassing a hoard of gold along the way.

From the 20 contesting families who took up the golden challenge, 3 of the richest family teams, in terms of the gold coins won, earn the right to be the finalists and meet in the Grand Finale on Sunday evening.

Each team will face a total of 5 questions; if the combined brains of the family cannot come up with the right answer, then it passes on to the next team and the winner is rewarded with another coin to add to their stockpile.

Each team can count on an ?associate?- a Super Star-2 contestant to help boost their morale and lift their spirits during the close contest.

After a team has completed its round of 5 questions, the ?associate? will come up with a song appropriate to the mood of the moment- a victory chant to celebrate their success or a mournful dirge lamenting their failure to score well.

When each of the teams have faced their quota of questions, the one that has answered the maximum number will be the winner and will go home with the spoils of their conquest- a haul of coins to add to add to their existing cache of gold.
