MUMBAI: As the patriotic fervour with the advent of Independence Day sets in, CNN-IBN and IBN7 brings to its viewers a special line up of programming to commemorate 63 years of liberation highlighting those issues that matter the most to its citizens. The special programming airing from 9th to 15th August will feature IBN18 Network?s flagship bi-annual nationwide poll ?State of the Nation? and the programs like India Rocks, Bollywood Blockbusters, In August Country, Secret Kitchen Special, Faking News and CJ: RTI Special.
The special programming lined up on CNN-IBN and IBN7 are as under:
State of the Nation Poll: The 10th Edition of SOTN is the first ever poll on ?India?s Warzone? that will cover the key issues faced by the people residing in Naxal effected states The poll?s findings will be discussed with eminent panelists from the country on a special one hour show airing at 13th August on 9:00PM on CNN-IBN and 14th August at 8:00PM on IBN7.
India Rocks- Patriotic Songs Special: Take a trip down memory lane and relive some of the most patriotic Hindi film songs since independence. The show will be aired on 14th August at 5:30 PM on CNN-IBN and 15th August at 1:30PM on IBN7.
30 Minutes - In August Country: This special program on our heritage sites re-visits the different signposts of Indian Independence which played a significant role in the country attaining its freedom. The special show will be aired on CNN-IBN on 14th August at 09:30 PM.
Bollywood Blockbusters: On this Independence Day, look back at two of the biggest Bollywood Blockbusters ? Sholay: that released on Independence Day 35 years ago and Mother India. The show will be aired on CNN-IBN on 14th August at 8:00 PM & at 10:30 PM respectively.
Faking News: A one-hr dose of entertainment with Cyrus Broacha and team in patriotic style. The show will be aired on IBN7 on 14th August at 9:30 PM.
Secret Kitchen Special ? The show dedicated to food lovers across the nation, travels to NDA Pune this Independence Day to celebrate with the cadets at the Academy. The show will be aired on CNN-IBN on 14th August at 1:30 PM & 7:30PM.
Zara Yaad Karo Qurbani: The half hour program re-visits the life of various freedom fighters and the state of affairs at monuments of these great souls. The show will be aired on IBN7 on 15th August.
CJ: RTI Special: The special episode of Citizen Journalism will focus on Right to Information Act in India; how individuals are taking a stance to ensure its implementation. The show will be aired on IBN7 on 15th August at 5:30 PM.
