MUMBAI: NDTV Lifestyle, which operates lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times, has launched ?SOS Ladakh? ? a campaign to raise funds for the people of Ladakh who‘ve been badly affected by the flash floods in the region.

The campaign is done via NDTV Lifestyle Foundation, a newly set up initiative for life, shelter, and food.

Through the SOS Ladakh campaign, NDTV Good Times is planning to rehabilitate the people ravaged by natural calamity.

As a part of this campaign, the channel is running a special slot ?Ladakh Half Hour Everyday? till 2 September. It features the shows that are based on Ladakh only.

On 6 August, a cloud burst struck Ladakh. More than 180 people lost their lives while over 400 people went missing. All communication lines have been completely paralyzed and life has come to a standstill. Houses, hospitals, schools and roads have been destroyed. Children have been orphaned.

NDTV Good Times channel head Shibani Sharma Khanna said, ?The foundation will work closely with key NGOs specialising in related themes and act as a nodal point for fundraising. Quarterly-ticketed channel events like fashion shows, auctions, food festivals, music festivals, book fairs are some of the activities to raise funds.?
